Lisa’s Dress is a story about love, loss, guilt
and maturity. By refusing to take responsibility for his actions, Will
jeopardizes his family. His wife’s wedding dress, which hangs in his
closet, serves as a painful reminder of what it is to love and lose
someone.
I was able to relate
to both main characters, although I wanted to slap Will a time or two for his
stubbornness and the time wasted.
This short story kept
me engaged and the end was satisfying. I will definitely look out for other
books written by Ms. Matthews.
